Hand off a work order between team members

Keep enough operational context for another authorized team member to continue the job safely.

Check the correct work order

Before handoff, verify the customer, vehicle and active work order so information from another job is not carried over.

Leave actionable context

Record the current operational state using the controls available to your role and your shop process.

  1. Confirm completed and outstanding work.
  2. Record the next operational action.
  3. Flag customer questions or scope changes that still require authorization.
  4. Tell the receiving team member about urgent deadlines or dependencies.

Protect customer information

Use authorized Shop OS access and approved shop communication channels rather than sharing customer screenshots through public or personal channels.
