Track work with work orders

Connect the customer, vehicle and agreed work without confusing operational status with authorization.

Open the right work order

Use Work Orders in the active shop workspace. Check the customer and vehicle before changing an order.

  1. Confirm the customer request and agreed scope.
  2. Open the existing order or use the available creation/conversion workflow.
  3. Check its customer, vehicle and requested work.
  4. Use the stages and controls available for your role to keep progress current.

Keep scope changes clear

Explain changes to the customer and follow the shop authorization process before performing additional work. Notes and workflow stages describe operations; they do not by themselves prove customer approval.

Keep the records consistent

A booking request and a work order serve different purposes. Confirm the relevant request and work-order records both reflect what happened instead of assuming every change in one automatically updates the other.
