2027 Toyota Grand Highlander Adds a Hybrid Woodland Edition in Canada

Toyota Canada's new three-row Woodland model pairs hybrid power with all-terrain tires, extra clearance and practical cabin equipment.

The update

Toyota Canada announced a Woodland Edition for the 2027 Grand Highlander on October 1. The new version joins the conventional hybrid range and adds 18-inch wheels with all-terrain tires, 12 mm of extra ground clearance and a removable second-row cooler.

Other additions include all-weather mats, a cargo organizer and a 120V outlet. Across the Canadian Grand Highlander range, buyers continue to have gasoline, hybrid and Hybrid MAX choices, all with all-wheel drive.

The powertrain distinction matters for towing: Toyota lists 3,500 lb for conventional hybrid grades, versus 5,000 lb for gasoline and Hybrid MAX models. The Woodland badge does not make the conventional hybrid a Hybrid MAX.

For families comparing versions, match the exact grade to the planned passenger and trailer load. The announcement establishes the Canadian model changes; a dealer quote and the vehicle's own ratings are still needed before choosing a towing configuration.
