Handle no-shows and late customers

Confirm what happened and update the supported request lifecycle without inventing a no-show status.

Contact the customer

Use the contact details attached to the request to check whether the customer is still coming. Confirm with staff before reallocating a bay or technician.

Record the actual outcome

The booking-request lifecycle provides New, Contacted, Confirmed, Completed and Cancelled; it does not provide a separate No-show status.

  1. Check whether the appointment will proceed, change or be cancelled.
  2. Keep any rescheduling agreement explicit with the customer.
  3. When a non-terminal request will not proceed, use the supported cancellation action as appropriate.
  4. Do not mark missing or cancelled work as Completed.

Policies and availability

Apply only the shop policy that was appropriately disclosed. For onboarding-managed hours, blocks or capacity changes, ask WrenchFinder support to update the configuration; there is no self-service availability editor yet.
