Shop OS overview

Find the main workspace areas and understand why different roles see different controls.

Start in the correct workspace

Shop OS connects requests, customer and vehicle records, work orders and your public website. The business name and role shown in the workspace help you check that you are in the correct location.

Use the navigation for your role

Available navigation is permission-dependent. The shell includes Dashboard, Search, Work Orders, Materials, Customers, Booking Inbox, Marketing, Website, Settings and Team, with several entries restricted by capability.

  1. Review the dashboard for work needing attention.
  2. Open Booking Inbox for customer requests.
  3. Use Customers and Work Orders when those entries are available to your role.
  4. Use Website or Settings only when you have the relevant management permission.

Separate records from commitments

Operational statuses and notes help your team work together. They are not a substitute for agreeing appointment time, repair scope, customer authorization or payment with the customer.
