Toyota Canada Says Electrified Models Reached 67.6% of October Sales

Toyota Canada reported record October sales for electrified vehicles, led by hybrids; the figures describe one manufacturer, not the full Canadian market.

The October update

Toyota Canada reported 26,219 Toyota and Lexus vehicle sales in October 2026. The company said 17,735 of those sales were electrified vehicles, equal to 67.6 percent of its total and 70.2 percent above October 2025.

The electrified total covers more than battery-electric vehicles. Toyota Canada groups conventional hybrids, plug-in hybrids and battery-electric vehicles in the category, so the headline percentage should not be read as Canada-wide EV market share.

Toyota Division recorded 23,088 October sales and Lexus recorded 3,131. Toyota also reported 6,195 sales for the Canadian-built RAV4 Hybrid, which the company described as the model’s seventh consecutive record month.

For shoppers, the release is a manufacturer sales snapshot rather than a measure of current dealer inventory, transaction prices or delivery timing. Availability and final pricing still need to be confirmed for a specific model and Canadian retailer.
